| DOE, known and acknowledged as 'tennis specialists' for many years, have taken the construction skills developed for tennis - one of the most demanding of sports surfaces requiring 'tight' tolerances and a high quality of overall surface finish - and applied them to football.
DOE 'North' have installed a full size PRESTIGE rubber filled 'grass' football pitch at Dalgety Bay Sports Centre. Dunfermline, Hibernian and Hearts are just some of Scotland's top football teams now using the new PRESTIGE pitch for regular training.
Dalgety Bay West Councillor, David Arnott, said "I am delighted to see the success of the new pitch and I am pleased that it not only attracts footballers from our local community here in Dalgety Bay but also from the rest of Fife. I am particularly pleased that senior clubs are able to make use of the facility during off-peak daytime periods."

Meanwhile, 'down South' - DOE have also been installing dedicated football training areas using the INTEGRAL grass carpet. In 2003, there are projects in the pipeline for all the carpets in DOE's range - further news will follow as installations get underway in the Spring.
